Cyprus is an island that enjoys spring like temperatures and sunshine throughout the year. No wonder it is welcomed by tourists from all over the world. It is an island full of historical and mythological atmosphere, known for its rich historical heritage and ancient culture, as well as its tradition and hospitable hospitality.
It is located in the southeast of the Mediterranean, surrounded by three continents. Cyprus is the third largest island in the region, with a rich variety of flora and fauna, including pine forests, citrus groves, golden beaches, and majestic mountains.
It is the pearl of the Mediterranean, where cultures and customs from different visiting countries converge in this cultural melting pot.
Cyprus has a vast coastline, two mountain ranges, and a vast central plain. Although Cyprus cannot be called a mountainous country literally, most of its territory is occupied by mountains. Troodos and Pentadaktylos are the main mountain ranges of the two highest peaks, with the Mesoria Plain between them. To the northwest is Akamas, a peninsula that has become a nature reserve. In this unique corner of wildlife, representatives of flora and fauna are preserved in their primitive forms, and Cyprus is renowned for its rich and unique landscape. However, what Cyprus truly lacks is rivers. There are several rivers in all directions of the Trodos Mountains, but in summer, the riverbed almost completely dries up and is only filled in the winter of the rainy season.
In Cyprus, there are mineral water and medicinal water. The most famous ones are located in the Kyrenia region of Kefalovriso and near the Kalopanayiotis Monastery in the Troodos Mountains. Limassol and Lanaka are the only salt marsh lakes on the island. The main mountain range of Troodos is the source of volcanoes. All the beauty and diversity of nature are concentrated on majestic mountains: green vegetation adjacent to various shadows of alluvial limestone, all of which have become a thick carpet covering the slopes of Troodos.
Cyprus stretches 225 kilometers from east to west. The island covers an area of 9251 square kilometers, with a maximum width of 94 kilometers and a coastline length of 853 kilometers. The total population is nearly 800000 people. Administratively, Cyprus is divided into six districts: Limassol District; Limassol District; Limassol District. Nicosia, Paphos, Lanaka, Famagusta, and Kerinia.
